Step-by-step guide to using JurisClear AI

Welcome to JurisClear AI! Our platform is designed to act as your personal AI-powered legal assistant. This guide will walk you through the process of auditing your first contract and understanding the results.

Step 1: Upload Your Document

To begin an audit, navigate to your Dashboard and select the New Audit option.

  • Format: We currently support PDF and Word (.docx) files up to 20MB in size.
  • Contract Type: You can explicitly select the contract type (e.g., NDA, Lease Agreement) or leave it on "Auto-detect" to let the AI figure it out.
  • Your Role: This is crucial. Tell the AI whose interests to protect (e.g., if you are the Tenant or the Landlord). The AI evaluates risks entirely based on your chosen side.
  • Special Instructions (Optional): You can prompt the AI to look for specific things. Example: "Pay close attention to termination clauses and hidden renewal fees."

Step 2: The AI Analysis

Once you click "Run AI Audit", our neural network goes to work. This process usually takes 30 to 45 seconds. During this time, the AI is:

  1. Extracting the text and understanding the structure of your document.
  2. Comparing clauses against civil code regulations and established case law.
  3. Actively searching for hidden penalties, unfair liability shifts, and "legal traps".
  4. Drafting alternative, safer wording for dangerous clauses.

Step 3: Understanding the Report

When the analysis is complete, you will receive a comprehensive Audit Report divided into several key sections:

Risk Assessment

You will see an overall risk level (Critical, Medium, or Low). This gives you an immediate understanding of how safe the contract is to sign in its current form.

Identified Traps (Issues)

This section lists the specific clauses that pose a risk to you. Each issue includes a description of why it is dangerous and an expert recommendation on what to do about it.

Disagreement Protocol

This is the most powerful feature. JurisClear AI generates a ready-to-use table that you can send directly to your counterparty. It includes:

  • The original dangerous clause.
  • Our suggested, safe wording to replace it.

Guests vs. Registered Users

Guests: You can run one complete audit for free without registering. However, your history is not saved, and once you close the page, the report is deleted for your privacy.

Registered Users: By creating a free account, you gain access to your Audit History. All your future scans will be securely stored, allowing you to track your risk portfolio over time and export reports to PDF and Word.
